Oh no. What happened
oh you know only them finally giving a lot of depth and screentime to literally the only recurring (FEMALE DEMON) character since season one (INCLUDING SAM AND DEAN FWIW), finally letting her have a whole bunch of bonding time with two of the main characters, and then getting stabbed to help save the winchesters and unceremoniously left for dead in the road by the season’s big bad (and her former torturer) while they drive off without looking back

Can you shoot me a message about where you’re donating them? I cleared out about 200 books of my own but Brightlight only took about 20 so now I just have bins of books in my back seat.
(I tried in earnest to message this to you, but obviously it was way too long for a regular ask, and Tumblr wasn’t letting me fanmail you? Gdi.)
But seriously, only 20? I mean— it seems like they definitely have some storage issues (hah), but any other place I’ve been hasn’t really put a maximum cap on donation.
As far as local bookstores, I mostly have been donating to the Book Worm (on Bumby), because it’s really conveniently located next to the B&N I frequent when I’m in Downtown? They’re really good about trade credit, and they’re a cozy little place with soft 40s playing all the time, but it’s a tiny store.
Alternately, I’ve been thinking about checking out the Book Rack, Here Be Dragons, and as I remember the library’s 3rd floor bookstore takes donations (but I could be wrong).
Honestly, though, I’m probably just going to end up making a pilgrimage to Haslam’s in St. Petersburg and donating everything at once.
your thoughts are my thoughts someone is going to die probably and it’s probably going to be a woman everyone is getting so fussy over dean it’s like there’s a season 9 both he and cas are gonna be fine what about everyone else
I mean, I am typically 100% a protective mother lion over Dean, Cas, Sam, and the works— because regardless of their narrative privilege etc they are precious (but not perfect!!) to me— but it’s pretty much guaranteed that until the end of the series, the Winchesters will, at the very least, have the chance at the story doing right by them, and if it doesn’t, even if their season arc is awful, they’ll develop past it at one point or another. At this point, too, I’m feeling a lot more confident in Cas’s fate (though admittedly not in the fight for his agency), considering that they’re investing in his fate enough to make him a S9 regular.
I worry about them so much on a developmental, interpersonal level, as well as what the show is going to do to them— and let’s be honest, I’m looking forward to the pain next episode and beyong— but for now, their existence on the show is secure.
Meanwhile, we have to hold a prayer circle for every other goddamn character who has a chance involvement in a climactic episode, because apparently SPN thinks that the best drama is the sudden and reckless finality of death.
i saw a lot of speculation it’d be meg :c
not that I would put it past the writers in the slightest, considering their history of ruining opportunity, but in recent times (s7) they’ve been using meg to improve slight ongoing themes of grey morality and perspective and individualism! she’s a compelling character that has enough root into current plot-based events and aftermath that keeping her would only benefit the season’s progression!
meg has mostly kept the majority of her agency but still interweaves really well with the complexities between her and the boys (back and forth from enemies to begrudging allies and partners-in-crime) and cas (don’t tell me they didn’t bond in the hospital and holy hell [pun intended] they have a wonderful, caustic history together)
you don’t have much of a show if you keep writing off all of your supporting cast!
say what you will about the ‘it’s a show about the winchesters and nothing more!!’ argument (read: it’s bullshit) but they’re the SUPPORTING cast for a reason??

i… I have nothing to add to this, but I just wanted to ask: can I reblog this? would me reblogging it but you at all?
you can always reblog anything you want from me, I don’t mind! :’)
i hope cas x agency but i also saw a tweet that misha signed on as a reg for season 9 so i’m hoping that the agency part comes at least
CRYING ABOUT IT TBH
being a season regular is even better than what he has now, and though his storyline has been Really Questionable, he’s had a lot of really good moments/episodes as-is. :’)
of course, this makes me really, really think that they’re going to make Cas fall— unless they’re dealing directly and intimately with the angel arc again, why else would he be a consistent series regular?
